Karen Goldner
Karen Goldner is President of the Main Street Venture Fund.
Karen has over 20 years of economic and business development experience, including ten years in business finance working with dozens of businesses. She served as Vice President of Special Projects for FourthWave, LLC, for five years, where she was responsible for developing and managing the adVenture Fund, a Fort Wayne pre-seed private equity fund focusing on new technology development. Prior to that position, Karen worked for the City of Fort Wayne for 17 years in a number of economic and community development positions, including three years as Director of Economic Development and four years managing the City’s small business loan program.
She received her Masters in Public Administration from SPEA at IPFW, and her bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska.
Karen was elected to the Fort Wayne City Council in November, 2007, to represent the city’s 2nd District. She serves on several community boards including the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center and the Downtown Improvement District.
